Six years later after previous announcement and pushed-back release dates Lil Wayne dropped his album Tha Carter V on Thursday night expecting to sell thousands and make it to the top charts.

Although Wayne will be facing one big problem, Kanye West, West who announced during the week that he’ll be dropping his album Yandhi (that works as a sequel of his previous album Yeezus) on Saturday night.

Both of these albums generate so much intrigue among the fandoms, and both of them will be competing head to head to see who comes up on top at the charts at the end of the week.

What do each of these artists offers ? 

Lil Wayne has a legacy, people have been waiting for this album for more than 6 years, and is finally coming up to light, also is possible that this is going to be his last album so obviously the fans are really excited to hear it, while Kanye West whether you like him or not people are always talking about him, West is always involved in controversy because he always speaks his mind, guy is remarkable, also is rumored that his album might feature some artists like 6ix9ine and the late xxxtentation.

Is Kanye trying to promote his album through Lil Wayne’s ?

On Thursday (September 27) morning, Kanye announced the release of his new album via Twitter, where he acknowledges his album will come up second to Lil Wayne’s.

To be honest I don’t think he’s trying to promote his album through Lil Wayne’s, but I do believe that it’s a smart move, and it works as indirect promotion for both of them.
